Invented by Netscape Communications Corporation to provide authentication and encrypted communication and the use of electrical komersi.In addition to using plain text communication, HTTPS session encrypt data using SSL protocol (Secure Socket Layer) or TLS protocol (Transport Layer Security). Both of these protocols provide adequate protection against eavesdroppers, and man in the middle attacks. In general the HTTPS port is 443.
Level of security depends on the accuracy in implementing the web browser and server software and supported by the actual encryption algorithm.
Therefore, on a web page to use HTTPS, and the URL used beginning with 'https' instead of 'http://'
